FAQS.
The MINI JCW Sport Suspension improves handling precision, increases responsiveness, and a more direct connection to the road. This is achieved through features such as specially tuned springs, dampers, and increased camber angles on the front wheels. This gives you optimised stability and grip, particularly during cornering. The JCW Sport Suspension can also lower the car's ride height, further enhancing its go-kart-like feel.
The MINI JCW diffuser is an aerodynamic component designed to improve the car's stability and handling at higher speeds. It works by accelerating airflow under the car, creating a low-pressure area, and generating downforce, which helps to push the car down and improve grip, especially during cornering.
Yes, you can, depending on your model and equipment. Please note, however, that it should be fitted by a MINI Service Partner.
A MINI JCW tow strap offers several benefits for MINI owners. It provides a dedicated and strong towing point, minimising potential damage to the vehicle's front or rear bumper during towing or recovery situations.
Yes, you can normally retrofit a MINI JCW gearshift lever for that special racing feeling, though it depends on your model and equipment. The MINI John Cooper Works gearshift lever is available in the MINI Accessories Store or from your MINI Retailer. Please note, that it can only be retrofitted with manual transmission for the MINI Cooper 3-door, MINI Cooper 5-door, MINI Cooper Convertible and MINI Countryman models.
Every set of our MINI Original Wheels is fitted with specially developed tyres that ensure the best performance. Designed in collaboration with leading manufacturers like Michelin and Pirelli, our tyres guarantee ultimate grip, and the very best safety and fuel efficiency, too.
As the temperature dips to 7˚C and below, standard tyres harden and no longer provide optimum adhesion. This can compromise performance when accelerating, braking and cornering. Switching to MINI Winter Tyres for the colder months not only increases safety, but since they wear more slowly than standard tyres in low temperatures, they last longer and provide cost-effective winter motoring.
When the temperature rises above 7 °C, however, we recommend you switch to MINI Approved Summer Tyres for better performance in the warmer weather. They’re made from harder rubber compounds, so you’ll really feel the difference when it comes to handling and speed in the heat. You’ll enjoy greater control with shorter braking distances and better grip, whilst also experiencing increased agility. Choose from our seasonal Summer and Cold Weather Complete Wheels, or go for our John Cooper Works Alloy Wheels for a more athletic look.
